Your food guide to the Fari Islands, Maldives

Our luxury travel magazine investigated the Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, which has already become famous for its diversity of restaurants and cuisines.

Guests may anticipate a diverse cuisine with seven various culinary settings, ranging from high-end dining and seaside luxury to wellness-focused meals. Beach Shack supplies shared platters and grilled seafoods, as well as buckets of blue water prawns that may be drunk down with buckets of outstanding vine rosé, inspired by the carefree atmosphere and easygoing cuisines of the Mediterranean.

This modern Chinese cuisine restaurant serves small meals in the Summer Pavilion, a magnificent lantern-inspired overwater venue. Don’t miss their stir-fried lobster, which is meant to be shared and coupled with great Chinese teas and wine from their enormous wine collection. Another upmarket dining experience awaits you at IWAU, which translates to “celebrate” in Japanese, an open-air restaurant where you can taste sake and the finest sushi beneath a starry sky. La Locanda presents the spicy flavors of southern Italy for passionate Italian food enthusiasts, delivering thick espressos in the mornings and a Sicilian fritto misto in the afternoons.

We also recommend stopping by Eau Bar, which has a laid-back, glamorous atmosphere. This seaside restaurant and bar provides healthful meals, tableside drinks, a hookah experience, and a mesmerizing daily ritual of drums and fire at night. Two of the resort’s venues are located at Fari Marina, a delightful eight-minute voyage away from the resort on a dhoni, a traditional wooden fishing boat. Arabesque takes tourists on an intriguing and delectable trip through previously unseen flavors from Lebanon to North India. Dishes are available in addition to tasty hookahs, Turkish coffee, Moroccan tea, and inventive drinks.

The other is a street food truck providing light Asian treats – a great place to stop for some takeout bao buns in the middle of the day.

And no, we did not skip breakfast. It’s just…you have to see it to believe it. A buffet spread across two or three rooms offers everything you could possible desire or didn’t even know you might want, from baked pastries to every imaginable type of milk and exotic fruits. If you want to try something more familiar, an à la carte menu is also available on request.

We can assure you that The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands is looking forward to welcoming guests to this special Maldivian archipelago, providing them with impeccable hospitality delivered by our Ladies and Gentlemen, as well as enriching experiences that embrace the local culture and traditions.
