Wine and Dine Around Monaco

Don’t miss out on the delicious cuisine of the Côte d’Azur by staying in your hotel room during your stay on the French Riviera. There is a wide variety of Monaco top restaurants and bars to suit a variety of budgets and preferences, from five-star gourmet spots to low-key local watering holes.

If you consider yourself a connoisseur of great and unusual foods, this article will direct you to the places you must visit this summer.

The Monte-Carlo Pavillion by Yannick Alléno

The perfect setting for a good time is a restaurant that combines the comforts of home with the energy of a lively gathering place. Like Monaco itself, Yannick Alléno’s Pavyllon Monte-Carlo serves up cuisine with a refined, international flair. The Hôtel Hermitage lives up to its reputation as a cultural mecca and symbol of Monaco’s illustrious lifestyle, as befits its stunning setting. The main bar offers prime viewing of the kitchen’s culinary dance as Three Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno and his team use the freshest local ingredients to prepare exquisite dishes with a vibrant, sun-kissed vibe. John Dory fish with barigoule artichokes, grilled veal chop with yoghurt and sage marinade, and grilled lamb cutlets with smoked mashed eggplant are all must-tries at this restaurant.

Monégasque restaurant La Môme located in Monte-Carlo

In May of 2015, brothers Antoine and Ugo Lecorché set out on an exciting new adventure by founding Restaurant Florian on Cannes. The restaurant specializes in Mediterranean cuisine made with local, seasonal ingredients. Locals and tourists alike go to the restaurant La Môme each night to enjoy the tranquility of a little haven in the middle of the city. The restaurant features sunny Mediterranean food prepared by chef Julian Cazalas. With a cocktail bar just across from the La Môme restaurant, your nights will be made all the more enjoyable by the sounds of La Môme’s DJ. This classy hangout takes its cue from the intimate and welcoming bars of New York City, where elegant cocktail hour is a must. Experienced bartenders will greet you with innovative and well crafted cocktails, whether you’re spending a romantic evening for two, a fun night out with friends, or just need something to help settle your stomach.

Yoshi in the summer at the Hôtel Métropole

Beginning on June 17th, guests may dine at Yoshi, the only Japanese restaurant with a Michelin star on the Côte d’Azur, in an incredible setting designed by Karl Lagerfeld at the edge of the pool in the Odyssey area. Takeo Yamazaki, who is entering his 14th year as head chef at Yoshi in the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo, has become a master of fusing Japanese and European cuisines and continues to draw inspiration from his numerous trips abroad. The head sommelier selects the finest sakés, whiskies, and Japanese green teas to pair with the ingredient-driven dishes prepared on the teppanyaki grill. The ebi shinjo (shrimp balls with kombu) and the ghindara are two of the chef’s most famous creations (black cod marinated for 72 hours).
