The Côte d’Azur’s Eating Habits

We’re sure you’re inquisitive about the meals whether you’re searching for a Cap Ferrat villa rental or any other property on the French Riviera. Continue reading to find out everything there is to know about breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the Côte d’Azur.

Breakfast

Breakfast on the Riviera may begin as early as 6 a.m., with some pastry shops and coffee shops opening at that time. Traditional pastries including croissants, pain au chocolat, apple pies, and others are available. We recommend the almond-flavored viennoiseries if you’re craving something sweet. You will not be let down!

If you want a more substantial lunch, you may always attend hotel brunches on the Riviera. One of our favorites is the Marylebone Riviera, where you can eat avocado toast or chia pudding while staring out at the sea.

Lunch

Some lunch spots remain open all day, which is unusual for the Riviera, where life moves at a slower pace. African Queen in Beaulieu-sur-Mer is one of the restaurants known for its flexible hours. This restaurant serves traditional food such as niçoise salad, fish soup, and different fish and meat dishes.

Most restaurants, on the other hand, are open from 12:00 to 14:00 for lunch and provide whatever cuisine you like. Restaurants in this area serve Italian, French, Chinese, Japanese, and Indian cuisine. We recommend visiting your favorite Italian restaurant because the border is only 30 minutes away – the experience can only be great!

Dinner

Dinner options vary greatly, not just in terms of cuisine but also in terms of atmosphere. There are black tie establishments as well as a peaceful coastal café. Don’t be deceived by the Riviera’s closeness to Monaco; this little country has a lot to offer travelers. Everything from famous Parisian cafés to massive luxury gourmet restaurants is available here.

If you plan on renting a car, we recommend driving to Italy – Dolceaqua and San Remo are both well-known for their excellent restaurants.
